Roy Schoenberg, MD, MPH

Roy Schoenberg, MD, MPH, CEO of American Well Systems and is the inventor of the American Well concept. He directs the company’s product development, as well as its operational divisions. Prior to founding American Well, Roy was the inventor and founder of CareKey Inc., a software vendor offering electronic health management systems. Roy led CareKey through product development, market introduction, and the adoption of its Web-based health management solutions by more than 35 million users. Roy continued to serve as Senior Vice President and Chief Internet Solutions Officer at The TriZetto Group (NASDAQ:TZIX) following its acquisition of CareKey in December 2005. Roy is a frequent speaker and author of numerous publications and book chapters in the area of medical informatics, many of which he published during his work at the Center for Clinical Computing at Harvard’s Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. Roy holds an MD from the Hebrew University Medical School and an MPH in Healthcare Management from Harvard University.
