We’re pleased to announce the expansion of a popular event, our second annual Innovators Challenge. This is a call for demonstrations. We want to help you draw attention to products and services that are genuinely new, well along in development, and potentially game-changing for connected health, broadly understood as information and communications technology that goes beyond the hospital and clinic and into the day-to-day lives of patients, helping them maintain health and wellness, age independently, and manage chronic conditions. For 2012, we've built three demo sessions into the Symposium agenda, which is an opportunity for thirty innovative companies.
We can accommodate diverse multimedia needs and live product demos. Based on our experience last year, live demonstrations were much more effective than PowerPoint presentations. However you present it though, your technology must demo well within a strict limit of four and a half minutes, onstage comments and set-up included. To ensure equal time, this limit will be politely but firmly enforced. We invite you to submit a brief application by completing this short form. Deadline to submit applications is July 31.
Based on the overwhelming response last year, not all proposals - not even all proposals meeting the requirements of innovativeness, advanced stage of development and potential significance -- can be accommodated. Some demonstration slots will be reserved for new young companies and individual entrepreneurs. The final selection of participants will be determined by a panel of distinguished HIT experts.
